ORIGINAL PAINTINGS
If you are interested in purchasing an original painting, and
would like to see a better image than appears on this web site,
please contact the artist and arrangements can be made. Commissions
for original paintings are considered depending on subject matter

REPRODUCTIONS
Greg's limited edition fine art paper prints and canvas limited
editions are produced within the highest standards in the industry.
Only the finest materials, workmanship, and care are used in producing
each reproduction. All paper reproductions are printed on museum
quality 100% cotton rag watercolor paper using non-fade archival
inks. Canvas giclée images are printed on museum quality
waterproof canvas and pre-stretched on a standard wood stretcher
frame using non-fade archival inks. All canvas prints are then coated
with a UV Coating formulated especially for giclée reproductions.
This coating also gives the print the added benefit of being scratch
resistant. All images copyrighted by the artist Greg Farrell.
WHAT ARE GICLÉE PRINTS?
An Iris/Giclée print is the highest quality print available
today. Giclée is a French word referring to "spray of
ink." In technical terms, it refers to a computer-driven process
that applies microscopic ink droplets onto canvas or fine-art paper
creating a true-color, moisture-resistant, archival-quality reproduction
of an original work of art. The process cannot be duplicated by
other printing techniques because there is no visible dot screen
pattern, such as used in conventional printing, the resulting image
has all the subtle tonalities of the original art. This produces
exceptional museum quality reproductions. In addition, canvas giclée's
do not have to be framed under glass or use mat board. Once framed
and hung their resemblance to the original painting is remarkable.
